I picked up the MOSENVKA Dual Magnetic Phone Tripod back in October 2025 prior to my Vegas trip. I paid $29.99 and the price usually sits in the $30-35 range, often with a clippable coupon on Amazon. I didn’t need another tripod, I just needed something small enough to throw in a bag that would hold my iPhone steady without fussing with clamps or adapters. And in fact my biggest use case since I bought this is improving my night photography skills without the need to lug out my full size tripod.
What It Is
It’s a foldable magnetic phone mount that works as a tabletop tripod, a phone stand, or a magnetic mount for any metal surface. It uses N52 magnets on both the phone ring and the legs, folds down to about half an inch thick, weighs 139 grams, and extends to about 6.5 inches tall. The legs fold together to become an Arca-compatible quick release plate with a 1/4″ screw hole, so it works with a real tripod too.
What I Like
The magnets are strong. My iPhone 17 Pro snaps on and stays put at any angle without hesitation (Note: I use a Spigen Tough Armor iPhone case that includes a magsafe ring in the case – see why in the next section). I’ve used it as a desk stand for video calls, propped it on a shelf to watch something while cooking, and stuck it to metal surfaces when a flat spot wasn’t available. It does all of those things without feeling like a compromise in any of them.
I even used it last night to hold my phone with the flashlight on, to dig around my truck bed with tonneau cover in place. Gasp, might lose my EDC card for not having a flashlight on me in that moment.
The size is the real story though. Folded, it disappears into a pocket or bag. I forget it’s there until I need it, which is exactly what you want from something like this. It’s the kind of thing where once you start carrying it, you find uses for it you didn’t plan on.
The dual-axis adjustment is more flexible than it looks. You can angle both the arm and the magnetic ring independently, which means portrait, landscape, overhead, low angle, whatever you need. I haven’t found a position it can’t hold.
What’s Worth Knowing
The screws that control the joint tension occasionally need a quick tighten or loosen depending on how you’re using it. Not a dealbreaker, just something you’ll notice.
If your phone case doesn’t have an integrated MagSafe ring, the magnetic hold is noticeably weaker. They include a metal ring sticker to help, but the experience is best with a proper MagSafe case.
Some Amazon reviews mention the rubber coating on the magnetic feet wearing over time. Mine still looks fine after a few months of regular use, but it’s worth noting.
This isn’t a replacement for a full-size tripod. It’s a pocket tool for situations where you wouldn’t carry a tripod at all. That’s the right way to think about it.
Is It Worth It?
Its form factor makes it a natural to keep in a travel backpack, EDC kit, or car glove compartment. Experienced photographers can benefit from this too. Sometimes it isn’t practical to lug around a full-size tripod. $30 bucks. Add the MOSENVKA magnetic tripod to your kit. Use it when the need arises.
